LOS ANGELES, CA (June 1, 2016) – The Bettye J. Dixon Foundation has launched a new website dedicated to the mission of raising awareness of Alzheimer’s disease by generating support for medical research and providing scholarships for caregivers to attain the most comprehensive education and certifications required for tending to patients. The new site beautifully illustrates the work and purpose of the BJD Foundation, and provides easy tools to get involved in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease through online donations, scholarship information for caregivers, and upcoming events.

In California, nearly six hundred thousand people have Alzheimer’s disease. Experts estimate that someone in the U.S. develops Alzheimer’s disease every 67 seconds. By mid-century someone will develop Alzheimer’s disease every 33 seconds.

ABOUT THE BETTYE J. DIXON FOUNDATION: The Bettye J. Dixon Foundation was established in 2014 to support medical research related to Alzheimer’s disease and to assist and empower the caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients. Founder, Bettye J. Dixon’s passion and commitment to researching all phases of the disease has compelled her to establish a foundation that would be a driving force in assisting caregivers to attain the most comprehensive education and certifications required for tending to patients having Alzheimer’s and related diseases.
